Hello, my name is Anahli Jazhmin—though you can call me Ani. I graduated from the College for Creative Studies in 2015 with a degree in Photography and a Business Certificate. Currently, I work as an ophthalmic photographer in the medical field during the week, while running my freelance photography business on weekends. Both careers allow me to connect with people, listening carefully to their needs and expectations. Clear communication is essential to my process, helping me capture not just strong images, but the essence of each individual. My freelance work gives me space for creativity, while my medical photography sharpens my technical precision. In previous roles, I taught the fundamentals of photography and led art workshops through programs such as Focus: Hope EXCEL Photography Program, the Community Arts Partnerships Department at CCS, Clark Park Coalition, and Grace In Action Church and Collectives. These roles allowed me to connect with both creative youth and young adults. These opportunities reinforced my passion for sharing the power of photography as both a skill and a means of self-expression.
